ALICE B. MCNARNEY, 106, of Wabash died yesterday in Peabody Retirement Community.
The Coesse native married Michael T. McNarney on 23 June 1909 in Allen County, Indiana. He died in 1957.
She was honored in 1989 as Distinguished Senior Citizen of Indiana and authored many books.
Surviving are daughters, Mary H. France of Fort Wayne and Alice Gray of Wabash; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Catholic Church, Wabash, with burial in Falls Cemetery. Calling is 2 to 8 p.m. tomorrow in Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home, Wabash. Preferred memorials are gifts to the church or Peabody Retirement Community.
