He was born on Saturday, June 4, 1927 in West Virginia, Son of the late Benjamin Powers and the late Roma Dawson Powers.

Surviving are his Daughter, Mrs. Susan (Ray) Parker; Son, Mr. Terrry (Gwen) Powers; 3 Grandsons, 2 Granddaughters, 3 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Step-Sons, Mr. Don (Elaine) Ferrin, Mr. Greg (Vicki) Ferrin; Step-Daughter, Mrs. Sandy (Jack) Marlin; Sister, Mrs. Betty Preston; Brother, Mr. Charles Richard Powers.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Mrs. Margaret Powers; Wife, Mrs. Dorothy Powers; Son, Mr. Rod W. Powers (Roddy Bill).

Graveside Services will be held Friday, October 9, 2009, at 1:15 PM. at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL with Rev. David Dziolek officiating.
