Note:
Theodore was the first child and son of Daniel and Permelia (Douthitt) McKinney. It seems he was undoubtedly born in Washington Co., Pa where his parents owned land. Little is known at this time about Theordore and what we have is from records. In Evans History of Scioto County, Ohio, his father is given a sketch as one of the State Representatives and Theodore is listed as one of Daniel and Permelia's children.
In Daniel McKinney's will it states that Theodore had already received his share of the estate when he was given a quarter of land on the Little Scioto River. Later Theodore's brother, John D. McKinney named Theodore as one of the devises in contesting for his share of his father, Daniel's estate in 1818, Scioto County.
