Daughter of David Louis and Marzella Jane (Warbington) Osborne, sister to Louis, Rollin, Grace and Sadie, wife of Earl Lincoln LaFara, mother to Lois, Patricia and Robert, and grandmother of 8. Pearl was a kind and caring person and worked as a private nurse during her middle years. Pearl lived most of her life in the Irvington neighborhood of Indianapolis where she graduated from Shortridge HS and was a longtime member of the Irvington United Methodist Church.

Pearl was a member of DAR and enjoyed genealogy research. Her grandchildren called her 'Nanny', her favorite color was purple and she loved butterflies.

Pearl's father, David (memorial #45127724), was in the 83rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War and her 2nd great grandfather, John Baldwin Osborne (memorial #43615692), served in the 1st Regiment, Essex County Militia of New Jersey during the Revolutionary War.
