Dr. H. C. Welfley died ht his home in Shenandoah City on last Saturday morning, July 19th. He leaves a widow, a daughter of the late Frank Conrad, but no children. He also leaves three brothers — Messrs. M. L. Welfley, of Washington city, J. W. Welfley, of Front Royal, and A. J. Welfley, of Prince William county. He was we suppose about 46 years of age and enjoyed the reputation of a skillful and successful physician, tho for a year or more, on account of failing health, had not been able to give much attention to his practice. He was exceedingly kind and amiable, and by these good qualities and other attractive social traits, and possessed of a clear and cultivated mind, he drew around him a large number of friends who deeply deplore his untimely death. Dr. Welfley was a member of the M. E. church, and his funeral was conducted on Monday morning by his pastor, Rev. Mr. Martin.
