Lawrence James Phillips of Prescott died at 2:45 p.m. yesterday at his home.

The son of James W. and Mamie J. Cannon, he was born on Dec 1, 1909, at Prescott. His marriage to Miss Lillie Buchanan took place on June 12, 1934 at Fort Scott.

Survivors are his wife, Lillie, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Don (Irene) Paddock of Iola, Mrs. K.W. (Lorraine) Harkness, 11 S. Barbee, Fort Scott, and Mrs. Eugene (Ladeen) Vaughn, Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters. Mrs. Alta Allen, Mrs. Cleo Holmes and Mrs. Frances Casteel, all of Prescott: and a brother, Melvin Phillips, of Prescott. There are three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Prescott Methodist Church. Rev. John H. Anderson, assisted by Rev. Charles J. Vest, will officiate. Interment will be in Prescott Cemetery, under the direction of Torneden's, Pleasanton. The body will be in the home in Prescott, until time for the services at the church.
