Elizabeth Morris, 88, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at a nursing center in Abilene, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, in Garden of the Good Shepherd in Elmwood Memorial Park with Rev. Palmer McCown officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.

Elizabeth was born in Whitney, Texas, to the late Winnie Gertrude (Norris) and John Loyd Wolfe. Elizabeth graduated from high school in Spur, Texas in 1938, and attended Howard Payne University for one year. Elizabeth married Bob Morris in Waco, Texas, on September 2, 1950, and moved from Waco to Abilene in 1953. Many years ago, Elizabeth was a clerk for Southwestern Bell Telephone for ten years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Abilene for over fifty years.

She was preceded in death by brother, Cecil Wolfe.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Morris, of Abilene; nephew, Stanley Morris, Jr.; and nieces, Kay Lanier and Sue McWilliams, all of Abilene.
