RUSSELL HOWARD "BUD" KELTNER

It was fitting that Bud passed on the 4th of July as he was a proud American who loved his country. During WWII, he served aboard the battleship West Virginia, the submarine USS Narwahl and on a naval tugboat in the Aleutian Islands.

Bud married Autumn Durst at the Point Loma Presbyterian Church and they settled in Pt. Loma for the remainder of his life. Bud had a contagious sense of humor who was known for going out of his way to help others. He was an all around family man: a great husband, father, grandfather, soon-to-be great-grandfather and friend who is truly missed.

He lived life to the fullest, enjoying fishing, hunting, boating and camping trips. Bud also loved sports. He went to all of his grandchildren's games as well as attended most San Diego sporting events including his last Padres game a week prior to his passing.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Autumn, two children, Russell and Cindy, and three grandchildren, Russell (Kristen), Ryan, and Lynnae.

Funeral Service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th, in the Chapel of the Point Loma Presbyterian Church. 2128 Chatsworth Blvd, San Diego, CA 92107.
