Mary Ann Bromeland, 82, of Elkhorn, WI, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Holton Manor Nursing Home, Elkhorn. She was born on Nov. 1, 1927, in Burlington, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Klein) Lackas. Mary Ann was united in marriage to Orvin “Bud” Bromeland on April 24, 1946; he died on June 30, 1977. Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was truly devoted to her family. She worked for over 15 years at Lakeland Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician, retiring in 1994. She loved to travel and work in her flower gardens. Mary Ann was a member and held various offices of the Delavan Lioness Club. She was active in the social events that were held at Gilbert Court. She is survived by her seven children; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four sisters; and two sisters-in-law. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 31 years, “Bud”; one son, Daniel; and two brothers.
