A wonderful man has been called home after a long battle with cancer. Armond Monfredi was born on March 2, 1932 to Olivia Chivaglia and Tony Monfredi in Price, Utah and passed away on January 15, 2008 in St. George, Utah. He married Shirlee Oppocher in 1955.
Armond was definitely the center of his family. We all looked up to him for guidance and advice. He molded each one of us into the people we are today. Not a day will go by that we won't miss you, pops.
Armond is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and grandson Keri Sims. He is survived by his wife Shirlee, his five children; Debi Sims, Terry Monfredi, Larry (Natalie) Monfredi, Cheryl (Mike) Dalton and Joni Monfredi, his 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, his sisters Virginia (Ray) Gazell, Jen (Brink) Potter and Gerry (George) Wilberger and many loving nieces and nephews. There are no words to explain the love his grandkids and family had for him. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, a supportive father, and the world's greatest grandpa. Fly with the angels, papa. We love you!
