Born Jan. 4, 1884 in Urwegen, Transylvania, he was a son of Simon and Agnes Minth Zeck. He had lived in Salem 54 years.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
His wife, Mary Louise Fleischer, whom he married in 1910, preceded him in death Oct. 23, 1957.
Surviving are five sons, Robert P. Zeck of Salem, Gus M. Zeck, William Zeck and Richard A. Zeck, all of Canton, and Frederick S. Zeck of Elyria; six daughters, Mrs. William (Alma) Holzinger of Salem, Mrs. Helen Woodward of San Bernardino, Calif.; Miss Ruth Zeck of Canton, Mrs. Joseph (Esther) Faulk of Leavittsburg, Mrs. Louise McConn of Canton, Mrs. Nancy Marlier of Detroit, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grand-children. A daughter, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Vogelhuber, died in 1953 and two infants also preceded him in death.
