Olga L. Boles, 87, Halstad, MN died on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Halstad Living Center.

Olga Luella Fingalson was born on June 29, 1921 at Richwood, MN. She grew up near Detroit Lakes, MN and graduated from Detroit Lakes High School. Olga married David James "Jim" Boles on Oct. 26, 1943 (same date her mother, Caroline Severson married her father Joseph Fingalson). They farmed a short time at Absaraka, ND, then moved to farm at Wheatland, ND until 1957. They then moved to Lockhart, MN until 2006 at which time they lived in Halstad, MN.

Olga was a Sunday School teacher in Wheatland. She was very active in the United Methodist Church in Ada, MN. She was a long time member of the RUTH CIRCLE. She also was an active member in her "Homemakers" club. Her involvement in the BAZAAR each year making delicious Norwegian baked goods was an event she looked forward to. Olga was most famous for needle work covers for note books which she gave to anyone whom she met.

She is survived by her husband, Jim of Halstad; two sons, Jerry (Karen) Boles of Andover, MN and Richard (Sandra) Boles of Prior Lake, MN; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Olga was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Kari Lee Boles in 1978; and eleven brothers and sisters.

Funeral: Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Faith United Church, Ada, MN with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Wheatland (ND) Cemetery.
