Polly Blackburn Jones, 41, of Evarts, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009, at her home. A native and lifelong resident of Harlan County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Living God at Jones Creek.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Jones; her parents, Evelyn Dean Blackburn and Claude Blackburn; and two brothers,Claude Allen Blackburn,Jr and Anthony Blackburn.
Survivors include two sisters, Pheby Pace and husband, Calvin, Evarts; Vickie Rowe and husband, Bobby, Evarts; her nieces and nephew, Crystal and Tina Rowe, Calvin and Ashley Pace; great-nieces, Angel Ball and Olivia Pace; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Living God at Jones Creek. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will be at the Dean Cemetery at Jones Creek. Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
