Leecy Bean Sparks, 99, of Speedwell, passed away Dec. 29 at her home. She was born December 25, 1909, and was the oldest member of Braden Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elder W.M. Sparks; parents, John and Sarah Ann Berry Bean; seven sisters and four brothers; one great-grandson, Jared Trey Seiber.

She is survived her daughter, Winona Monday and husband, Elder J.C.; son, T.J. Sparks and wife, Jimmie Sue; sister, Minnie Wilson, all of Speedwell; grandchildren, Jennifer Seiber and husband, Bill, Vickie Edwards and husband, Glenn, all of Speedwell, and Michael Monday of Florida; great-grandchildren, Elder Derek Edwards and wife, Jennifer, and Brad Edwards, all of Speedwell, great-great-grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Jared Graeson, Caleb, Riley, and Piper Edwards, all of Speedwell; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Jan. 1 at Braden Chapel Baptist Church with Elder J.C. Monday and Elder Derek Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Braden Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 31 at Walters Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Braden Chapel Cemetery, c/o Elder J.C. Monday, 515 Blue Springs Rd., Speedwell, TN 37870.

Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
