Mrs. Estelle Mash Tatum , resident of North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on November 3, 2009 at NHC Hillview Health Care.
Funeral services conducted at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Edd Brown and Dr. Vance Hendrickson officiating. Burial in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The Lewis County native was the daughter of the late Wilburn Coby and Lettie Mae Mash.
She was a graduate of Lewis County High School where she was an accomplished athlete. Mrs. Robinson was a former owner and operator of a Mt. Pleasant restaurant and later retired from Kmart. She was a longtime member of Main St. Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant. She loved gardening and the outdoors.
Survivors include her children: Gerri Ann (David) Edwards and Paulette Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, and Ginger (Gary Joe) Tice of Dickson; grandchildren: Renee' (Mike) McKnight of Kingston Springs, John Edwards and Kyle (Rachel) Thomas of Mt. Pleasant, and Zachary Haywood of Dickson; great-grandchildren: Kristin (Jared) Allen of Franklin, Tatum McKnight of Kingston Springs, Cadence Haywood of Dickson, Addison and Parker Thomas of Mt. Pleasant; sisters: Hazel (J.B.) Brown and Christeen (Leon) Hunter of Hohenwald, and Faye (Billy) Sargent of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Lillian Mash Norman, Elvis Mash, Alfred Mash, Birdie Mash Turnbow, and Jean Mash Bullion.
Pallbearers will be John Edwards, Kyle Thomas, Zachary Haywood, J.B. Brown, Leon Hunter, and Billy Sargent.
Honorary pallbearers will be the devoted staff at NHC Hillview Health Care, Dr. J. Cummins Couch, Randy Kersey, and Will Kersey.
