Melvin M. Moody, 89, died Wednesday morning at his home on S. Pearl St., Cicero. He had been ill since Monday. Mr. Moody was born in Tipton County, Dec. 19, 1875, son of James and America Pennock Moody. He was married Feb. 26, 1913 in Arcadia to Alexa Woodyard who survives .A resident of Cicero for the last 53 years, he moved there from Arcadia. He had farmed and also been employed at the old Arcadia Glass Factory and at the Cicero Canning Co. In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, Marvin M. and Raymond R., both at home; James W., Anderson; one daughter, Mrs. William (Hazel) Shoaf, Noblesville; one grandchild; one great-grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Ida Beck, Cicero.
