Betsie married Edward Colson Hunter on November 3, 1808 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Ed and Betsie had 5 children. Their first son, Thomas, was born in January 28, 1810 in Tennessee. They soon moved to Indiana. Her husband, Ed, fought in the War of 1812 and in the Battle of Tippecanoe in the state of Indiana. The rest of their children were born in Washington County, Indiana. Their second son, William, was born on September 8, 1813. Harvey was born May 12 1817. Sophia was born September 24, 1819 and Susanna was born June 15, 1821.
Betsie died on November 3, 1808 and was buried on the Hunter Farm in the family cemetery.
