Stephen Judson Beeman was born Nov 29th, 1785 in Kent, Litchfield Co, Connecticutt the son of Thomas and Grace Bliss Beeman. He married Susan Smith on August 27th, 1812 in Braintrim, Luzerne Co, Pennsylvania. They had ten children, Zemiria (died at age 2),Mahala (m. Robert Melhuish), Irene (Gamble), James, Anthra, Lucinda (died age 25), Charles, Lovina (died age 2), Alfred (m. Olive Fox), and John Ford Beeman (m. Mary Scott, then Jennie Dickerson). In 1850, Judson lived in Greenfield, Erie Co, Pennsylvania. He lived in Sherman, Chautauqua Co, NY, with his son John F Beeman, when his wife Susan died in 1868. He was in his 80's when he moved to Sugar Run, Town of Wilmot, Bradford Co., PA to live with his daughter, Irene Gamble. He died July 20th, 1875, at the age of 89. He is buried at the Lacey St Cemetery with some of his children, who died at early ages. His wife is buried in Sherman Cemetery, Chautauqua Co, NY.
