Beatrice W. Strickland, age 94, was born on June 2, 1915, in Alco, Arkansas to S.W. Bradshaw and Josie Jane Bradshaw and left this world on Saturday, November 28, 2009.
She has resided in Fresno County since 1945 and was a long time member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
She was employed by the Virginia Hotel for many years.
The family is grateful for the care and support given by Shirley Williams of the Well Being Group and by Cindy, Lowe R.N., with Asera Care Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde T. Strickland; daughter, Ruby June (Strickland) Callan; and son, Kenneth Dale Strickland, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Josie Dorene Bobo, Freda Trujillo and her husband Benny; and her son, Dwane Strickland and his wife Maureen all of Fresno; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Bradshaw of Cyril Oklahoma and sister-in-law, Gertha Ott of Mojave; California and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Sanger Cemetery, on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
