Burial will be in the McAdoo Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
He died at 12:50 p.m. Friday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Jones County Nov. 21, 1909. He married Gladys Ward in McAdoo in 1932. He was a retired farmer. He moved to Crosbyton a year ago from Lubbock. He was raised in the McAdoo area, going there in a covered wagon from Stamford at the age of nine months.
He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Grady Jr. of Richmond; four brothers, John A. of Jacksonville, Charley of Crosbyton, Doug of McAdoo and Woody W. of Lubbock; two sisters, Lois Hutchens and Aline McCombs, both of Lubbock.
