Funeral Services Held Sunday For Mrs. C.H. English
Funeral services for Mrs. Coleman English were held at 2:30 Sunday in the First Baptist church with Rev. Jimmy Weston, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery.
Mrs. English, a resident of Carnegie community since 1920, had been ill for sometime. She had been in Wesley hospital, Oklahoma City, about four weeks before she died early Friday morning.
Elizabeth Lacy was born February 15, 1899, at Sanora, Tex. She was married October 14, 1915, at Sanora to Coleman Henry English. Four sons and two daughters were born to them. One son, Donald, preceded her in death.
Mr. and Mrs. English moved to Oklahoma in 1920 settling in the Cedar Creek community north of town. They later moved into Carnegie and lived at 319 South Colorado for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband of the home; three sons, Carroll of Nederland, Texas, Keith of Midwest City and Raye, Lincoln, Nebr.; two daughters, Mrs. Mollie Stimson, San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. Angenell Dawes of Midwest City; one sister, Mrs. Roy J. White, Barksdale, La.; five brothers, J.D., Milton and Herman Lacy, all in Texas, Pete Lacy of Wichita, Kans., and Virgil Lacy of California, and nine grandchildren.
