Son of Charles Woodbury Teagarden and Helen Giengar, younger brother of Jazz great, Weldon "Jack" Teagarden. Cubby was an extrodariarly talented dummer and played with several Jazz Bands throughout his career. He retired from music in 1948 and went to work for the telephone company in California.
Clois was married to Irene Cathrum on Aug 8, 1936. They had no children.
He served in WWII US Army for 3 years.
