Raymond R. Landreville NORTH DARTMOUTH Raymond R. Landreville, 91 of N. Dartmouth formerly of Rockland died at St. Lukes Hospital in New Bedford on October 30, 2009. He was born in New Bedford, son of the late Albini and Dorothy (Comeau) Landreville and was raised and educated there. He made his home in Rockland from 1955 until moving to Dartmouth two years ago. Mr. Landreville started working as a chef at the Bond Hotel in Hartford Ct. in the thirties, and cooked at the Miss Portland Diner in Maine as well as Sunnyfields and Vin and Eddies restaurants in Abington. For the last 25 years of his career until his retirement in 1985, he was head chef at Interstate United Food Service and later Canteen Corporation in Lowell providing foodservice to hospitals, colleges and large businesses. Husband of the late Winifred A. (Cook) Landreville, he is survived by his sons Raymond C. Landreville of Sagamore Beach, Neil W. Landreville of Jackson Heights, NY and Daniel P. Landreville of Middleboro. He was the brother of Lucille Melanson of Fl., Sr. Jeannett Landreville of NH and the late Anita Firth, Leo H., Maurice and Sr. Gertrude Landreville. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, a great grandson, 3 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St. Rockland. A prayer service will be held prior to the Mass at 8:15 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St., ROCKLAND. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 5-8 PM.
