DAUGHERTY, NAN HICKS age 89 of Caryville, Tennessee (of the Oak Grove Community) passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
She was a member of Lake City First Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother, grand mother, and great grand mother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Daugherty; daughter, Mary Lou Raby; parents, Charlie and Bessie Baird Hicks; sister, Ruth Hatmaker; brothers, Clyde, Bert, Ted, Dewey, and LT Hicks.
She is survived by children, Charlotte Wilson and husband Lindell of Caryville, Larry Daugherty and wife Pat of Oliver Springs, Gary Daugherty and wife Betty of Caryville, Roger Daugherty and wife Donna of Lake City; grandchildren, Carol Ingram and husband Michael, Vanessa Wilson, Tracy Daugherty and wife Angie, Tonya Ayers, Rodney Daugherty and Travis Daugherty; 9 great Grandchildren; several nieces; nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 6-8 PM with the funeral service to follow in the chapel at 8:00 PM with the Rev. Jack Anderson officiating.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City.
