Luiten, Dick, (d. 1985; b. 1929; TS; OC; obit) "Graveside funeral services were held at the Odessa Cemetery on Tuesday, Jan 29, 1985, for Lyle L (Dick) Luiten, who passed away at his home on Saturday, Jan 26, 1985. Pastor Daniel Cronrath officiated.

Lyle L .(Dick) Luiten was born on July 30, 1929 to Jake and Louise Luiten at Lamona, WA. He attended schools at both Lamona and Odessa. He worked for the post office, the Odessa Trading Company and for Win Self before moving to Lamona to farm. He was married to Lois Raugust of Odessa. To this union three children were born.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Jim Luiten. Survivors include his wife, Lois, at the home; one daughter, Debbie and her husband, Bill Schlimmer; two sons, Greg and his wife, Cindy, and Tom and his wife, Vicki, all of Odessa; 5 grandchildren; his sister, Evelyn Lenhart of Spokane; and numerous nieces and nephews. Casket bearers were William Schmidt, Laurence Lenhart, Frank Groh, Don Haase, Jim English, and Merle Janke. The services were under the direction of the Strate Funeral Home of Davenport."
