Shirley A. Chiarini, 73, of East Garfield Avenue died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at the home of her daughter Marcella with all of her family present. She was born April 25, 1936, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late James and Helen (Brewster) Davis.

She was married to Edward H. Chiarini, who died April 17, 2008.

She was a devoted mother who loved to prepare meals for her family and friends. She was an excellent cook, and anything she made came from her heart. She loved going to the beach and being around her closest friends. Her gratitude came from being a "giver" and doing for others. She had an unselfish soul who loved to leave behind happy faces when the day was done.

She is survived by three daughters, Rhnee Jenkins and her husband, Timothy, and Marcella Jones, all of New Castle, and Christine Bangor and her husband, Richard, of East Liverpool, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Kylee Criss, Steven Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Adrian Amabile, Leigh-Ann McKee, Lindsey Jones, Christopher Jones, Zachary Bangor and Alexandra Bangor; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Caputo, Gavin Criss and Gage Criss.

Visitation will be held at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue, on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, from 4 to 7 p.m. A service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.The Very Rev. Chris Davis, the Very Rev.
