BOSSIER CITY, LA - David H.
Broussard was born in Baytown, Texas
on January 12, 1947, and died after a
courageous fight with cancer at age 51
on Friday May 29, 1998. Services will
be held at the First United Methodist
Church in Bossier City at 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, June 2. Burial will follow at
Rose-Neath Cemetery. Officiating will
be Reverend Ed Boyd. Visitation will be
at Boone Funeral Home from 5 to 9
p.m. on Monday June 1 and from 9
a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2,
1998.

Mr. Broussard was a graduate of
Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown,
TX and a graduate of Baylor University
in Waco TX. He did additional studies
at Bossier Parish Community College
and LSU - Shreveport. Mr. Broussard
currently worked as an independent
retirement planner and was member of
the Bossier Parish School Board.
He was a member of the Bossier
Lions Club - District 8L Lions Clubs -
Vice District Governor, and Northwest
Louisiana Football Official. Mr.
Broussard was a lifetime member of
Alpha Kapa Psi, Sigma Phi Epsilon,
Jaycees International, and the Baylor
Alumni Association. Throughout his
iifetime, he was active in the
Republican Party serving on former
Governor Treen's staff, the State
Central Committee, and was the cur-
rent chairman of the Bossier Parish
Executive Committee.

He was an active member and
Sunday School teacher at First United
Methodist Church in Bossier City, LA.
Mr. Broussard was devoted to the
Bossier Community through the Little
League, coaching numereous teams
over the years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn
Broussard; daughter, Andrea
Broussard; and three sons, Kevin
Broussard, David Ramares, John
Dean Ramares and wife Christi; broth-
er, Ben Broussard and wife Jean; sis-
ters Grace Broussard and husband
Richard Lindley of Dripping Springs,
TX; Sherry Lopez and husband Joe of
Las Crues, NM; and many nieces and
nephews.
