Mrs. Ellen Caddell, widow of the late J. W. Caddell of Bibb County, died early this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. L. W. Smith at 1310 12th Avenue, here. She was 83 years old.
Surviving are five sons, and six daughters. The sons are J. A. Caddell, Montgomery; W. L. Caddell, Prattville; R. E. Caddell, Birmingham; J. H. Caddell, Detroit; and L. Loyd Caddell fo Birmingham. The daughters are Mrs. R. A. Hunt and Mrs. S. J. Averette, Brent; Mrs. L. W. Smith, Tuacaloosa; Mrs. B. L. Avery, Detroit; Mrs. M. K. Ragland, Centreville; and Mrs. J. A. Yeager of Bessemer.
Funeral services will be held at 12 o'clock noon Tuesday from the Mulberry Church in Bibb County with interment in the church cemetery, by Jones-Spigener.

Ellen was the daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Moore Fikes (2/11/1835-5/17/1907) and Elzy Fikes (2/27/1829-2/21-1902).
