Charles R. Thompson Dies at Age of 91
Charles Ransom Thompson, 91, died this morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Petitt, 2209 Seneca street.
Born in Agency, Mr. Thompson farmed in that community until he retired 18 years ago and moved to Gower, Mo. There he made his home with another son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Weakley, until last April when he moved to St. Joseph.
Mr. Thompson was the oldest member of the Agency Methodist Church and the Agency Odd Fellows Lodge.
Besides his two daughters, Mr. Thompson is survived by three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Hixson funeral home in Gower.

Services for Charles Ransom Thompson, 91, will be at 2 Thursday in the chapel at the Hixson mortuary, Gower, Mo. The Rev. Walter Steele will officiate, and interment will be at Agency.
Mr. Thompson, a retired farmer, died Tuesday morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Petitt, 2209 Seneca street, with whom he had lived since April. Following his retirement 18 years ago, he went to Gower, making his home with another son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Weakley.
