PRICE-Mary Ardath Casaday Carr, age 95, passed away peacefully May 30, 2006 at Parkdale Care Center. She was born April 21, 1911 in Castle Gate, Utah to William E. and Mary Babcock Casaday. She married John Theo Carr, Oct. 7, 1950 in Reno, Nev.; he died Dec. 26, 1977.

Ardath was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was instrumental in starting three new churches. As a devoted member, she served as secretary and treasurer of these churches for more than 50 years, and also served in numerous capacities. Ardath worked as a lab tech for more than 60 years in various hospitals. She was very talented with her hands and she loved to make crafts of all sorts.

Survived by her son, Ben L. Carr, Auburn, Calif.; daughter, Anna Mae Taylor, Woodland, Calif.; brother, Raymond (Ellen) Casaday, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Edward and Theo Carr, daughters Louise and Sarah, brother Bill, sisters Fern, Enid, Verda, Mildred, Edna and Donna.

Funeral service was held Fri. June 2, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell's the previous evening and prior to the service. Interment in the Price City Cemetery.
