DIED AT AGE OF EIGHTY-NINE
Widow of
Sam Dale Buried at Cicero Monday
Mrs. Mary Ellen Tidler Dale, widow of Samuel
Dale, civil war veteran who died two years ago and on of the oldest women of the
northern part of the county died Saturday afternoon at the home of her son,
Calvin Tidler west of Cicero, at the age of eighty-nine. The funeral was held
Monday afternoon with Rev. Berry in charge and the interment occurred in the
Cicero cemetery.
Mrs. Dale had been ill for a week from the effects of a
stroke of paralysis which she suffered.
She was a daughter of Adam Wiles, one
of the pioneers of the Cicero community. She is survived by one son, at whose
home her death occurred, nine grandchildren and also one sister, Mrs. Martha
Ross Bradheld of Boxleytown who is now in her ninetieth year.

Harris Company had charge of the funeral arrangements.
