VIDALIA, La. - Services for Bert Aiguier, 89, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999 at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. today at Vidalia Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Cecil Herrington and Charles Alexander officiating.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 8 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Aiguier was born Jan. 16, 1910, in Quanah, Texas, the son of John E. and Nora Lee M. Aiguier. He was a longtime resident of Ferriday and a member of Vidalia Missionary Baptist Church. He retired in 1967 from Sonat Offshore Drilling Co. of Houston, Texas.
Mr. Aiguier was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Jesse Dean Aiguier, Virgil Aiguier, Cecil Aiguier, Tom Aiguier, J.E. Aiguier, N.L. Aiguier and Edgar Lee Aiguier; and a sister, Julia Elizabeth Aiguier.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Gray Aiguier of Ferriday; three step-daughters, Linda Cobb of Ridgecrest, Pat Ketchum of Carrolton, Texas, and Janet Cardin of Vidalia; a stepson, Walter Breithaupt of Vicksburg; a sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Trester Aiguier of Colorado; and four nieces.
Pallbearers will be Al Prunty, John Hamilton, Walter Breithaupt, David Cobb Jr., Jay Hamilton and B.A. Herrington.
