Glenn was the son of Cyrus Ray and Theasa Elnor (Winship) Davenport. He Married Laverne Willey on 4 Aug 1948. They had 4 children, Harold Arthur (1949-1988), Nadine Kay (1953-2007), Donna May and William Ray (1962-2004).
Glenn enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II.

G.A. Davenport Zillah-Glenn A. Davenport, 43, a resident of the Yakima Valley since 1931, died Thursday in the University Hospital in Seattle.
He had resided in Zillah for the past nine years. Mr. Davenport was a member of the Zillah American Legion Post No. 130 and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laverne Davenport, Zillah; Two sons, Harold and William, and two daughters, Nadine and Donna, all of Zillah; two brothers, Lee Davenport, Pasco, and Charles Davenport, Toppenish and his stepfather, F. H. Couteau, Granger. Sourwine-Merritt Funeral Home, Wapato has charge of arrangements.
