Mrs. Jessie Blue Barnett, age 88, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, died Saturday, May 9. Funeral services were held Monday, May 11 at Houlka Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Cappleman officiating.

The daughter of the late Robert Lee Blue and the late Lee Ferguson, she was formerly of Houlka, having lived in Baton Rouge for 35 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was the widow of the late Chestley Winfield Barnett.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Floyce Wilson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sons, Bud Barnett of Marrero, Louisiana and Jewett Barnett of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs. Sally Taylor of Texas, Mrs. Winnie Warren of Thaxton and Mrs. Floyce Motley of Tupelo; one brother, Robert Blue of Clarksdale; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dan Sims, Grady Barnett, Paul Barnett, Steve Barnett, Randy Barnett and Jim Wilson.

Houlka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
