Services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Pearl Miller, 88, of rural Union at the Bangor-Liberty Friends Church at 10:30 a.m. with burial following in the Bangor Cemetery. The Rev. James Hartman officiated.
Mrs. Miller died Friday at the Marshalltown Area Community Hospital.
She was born at Albion Feb. 3, 1892 to Grant and Amy Cope Dawson, and was raised and education in the community. On Feb. 9, 1910 she and Charles Miller married in Marshalltown. They farmed near Bangor. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Bangor-Liberty church and it's mission society and the Albion Mother's Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Amy Miller of rural Union and Mrs. Arlene Gardner of Dearborn, MI; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1943.
