WOOLWICH — William Vaughan (Bill) Andersen, 64, of Woolwich, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at his home with family and his beloved dog Missy by his side.

"Bill" was born in Livermore Falls on Dec. 15, 1944, the son of the late Frederick and Eleanor (Morris) Andersen. He married the love of his life, Beverly A. Baker, on Jan. 12, 1963.

He enjoyed hunting, gardening, antique automobiles and traveling with his wife to Foxwoods and Bangor. He enjoyed the holidays and putting up beautiful lights at Christmas. He especially enjoyed the visits from his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also had a lot of fun and laughter with his close nephew John Neff Jr.

He owned and operated several businesses in the area, and in 1996 opened Rocky Ridge Redemption with his wife.

He was a member of the American Legion and Bath Elks.

Bill was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Barker and Betty Stevenson.

Surviving are his wife Beverly of Woolwich; three daughters, Tammy Andersen of Brunswick, Lisa Green of Bath, and Lynn Andersen of Callahan, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Ashley Bonang, Casandra Green, Danielle Green, Markie Green, Matt Mansir, Brandy Cunliffe and Tyler Cunliffe; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Andersen and his wife, Sharon, of Lawton, Okla.; two sisters, Beverly Delano and her husband, Carl, of Sanford, and Beatrice Neff of Brunswick.

There will be a graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Woolwich at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Refuge League, 449 Stroudwater St., Westbrook, ME 04092.

Arrangements are by Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
