Thompson, Mary L Reinbold: (TS: 1891-1992; shared stone with Jesse L); {Per Reinbold Genealogy, Jesse Thompson married Mary Reinbold, 5th child of Matt and Christina Buehler Reinbold. Jesse preceded her in death in 1975.} “A lifelong resident of this area, Mary Thompson, 100, passed away Sept 14 in Davenport. She was one of nine children born to Matthias Reinbold and Christina (Buehler) Reinbold. She was born Dec 17, 1891, at Egypt, WA. Her parents came to this country from Germany and homesteaded on a farm between Davenport and Fort Spokane. She attended school at Egypt and married Jesse Thompson in 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975. Mrs Thompson owned a dress shop in Davenport for a number of years and was also employed by J C Penney and the Farmers store. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Davenport, where she was actively involved in activities for many years. Mrs Thompson also was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Daniel and Matthias Jr; and four sisters, Katherine Hein, Anna Reinbold, Lucy Boleneus and Emma Griffen. Her surviving brother, William C Reinbold, resides at Brighton Court in the Spokane Valley. She also has numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs Thompson was held Wednesday afternoon, Sept 16, at Zion Lutheran, with Pastor David Daugs officiating. Burial was at Egypt Cemetery.
