Erfurth, Walter Carl: (TS*: b. 3-26-1908; d. 11-23-1970; US Army, WW II); h/o Bernadine Brown; h/o Helen Noel; "Funeral services were held for Walter Carl Erfurth Nov 28 in Spokane. Mr Erfurth died Nov 23, 1970 in Spokane. Services were held in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Spokane and burial was at the Egypt Cemetery, north of Davenport. Mr Erfurth was a graduate of Davenport High School in 1927 and was a resident of this area for many years. He spent the last 40 years in Spokane. He was the first secretary of the Community Grange and a member of the Five Mile Grange. He was employed by the Union Oil Company of Davenport and later worked for Standard Oil Company of Spokane. He also was a World War II veteran. Mr Erfurth also was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Audubon Park Masonic Lodge No. 272 F & AM, Spokane Consistory of Scottish Rite Bodies, Electa Chapter No. 20 OES, Spokane Lodge No. 228 BPOE. Mr Erfurth is survived by his wife, Helen, at the home; stepsons, Carmen Noel, John R Noel and F William Noel, all of Seattle; 6 grandchildren; two brothers, Frank C Erfurth and F William Erfurth, both of Davenport, and a nephew, Richard Erfurth of Creston."
