Patricia Mushaway Roberts – Waters

September 12, 1931 ~ November 15, 2009

Patricia Mushaway Waters peacefully passed away in her sleep on Sunday morning November 15, 2009.
Patricia Ann Mushaway was born on September 12, 1931, in Houston, Texas as an only child to Elwin and Freida Mushaway who preceded her in death.
She learned early on as a young child that helping others was just the way it should be. From helping her Dad roundup cows on his ranch to volunteering with the Civil Defense department to help fingerprint citizens in case of attack during the war.
She was a very artistic young lady teaching herself to play the piano that her Dad gave her at a very early age and was actively involved in athletics during her school years at San Jacinto High school in Houston.
She later married and moved to Angleton, where she raised 3 boys. She was actively involved in the Angleton community with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTA, Little League, Fun Football, teaching so many how to bowl at the old Angleton Bowling Alley and playing the piano for local bands.
She worked for various construction companies in the purchasing field throughout the years and was well known for being fair and straightforward with all of the folks that worked with her.
She loved life and as many know, she never met a stranger, talking to anyone that would listen and to a few that wouldn't as well. Always cutting a joke or making a tough time seem less stressful.
Most of all she loved her Catholic faith, family and friends and in her final days she continued to offer that sweet smile and encouraging gleam in her eyes to all that visited her.
Pat is survived by her son and daughter in law John and Mitzi Roberts of Wakulla County, Fl., son Stewart Roberts of Bailey's Prairie, Tx., son and daughter in law Gene and Shay Roberts of Angleton, Tx., four grandchildren who affectionately named her "Nanny Foe", Michelle and Erin Roberts of Tallahassee, Fl, Shawn Roberts of Brazoria, Tx., Brittani Roberts of Angleton, Tx. and preceding her in death Brandi Roberts of Angleton, Tx. and her late husband Don Waters of Amsterdam, Tx.
The Family would like to extend a thank you to the Cypress Woods Care Center and the IPH Hospice nursing staff.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m untill 8:00 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 18, 2009 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas.
Funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Danbury, TX. Interment will be in Houston at Forest Park Lawndale the evening of the funeral.
Pallbearers will be Paul Fief, Kevin Filipp, Tim Walch, Joey Roye, Lonnie Lostak and David Metcalf.
