Married: Amelia ALVORD b: 12 DEC 1837 in New York City
Married: ABT 1854 in New York

Children
Amelia CORNWELL b: 9 MAY 1856 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York
Mary H CORNWELL b: ABT 1859 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York

Lita CORNWELL b: 1875 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York
Joseph T D CORNWELL b: 1877 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York
(Josey Hemphill, age 2, in 1880 is another possible member of this family. Looks like same as Joseph. See below.)

Note:
"Zoe
Josey (1880 NY Census) is the same as Joseph T.D. Cornwell. His WW1 registration which I found on Ancestry gives his full name as Joseph Tuthill
Duryea Cornwell and his birthdate as 13 Mar. 1878. Ancestry has mistakenly
transcribed the second middle name as "Duyen" which makes no sense at all. I'll
be happy to send you the image file if you want to look at it and don't have an
Ancestry subscription. Resolution of these old records is poor, but you
probably know as well as I do the name Duryea shows up a number of times in
connection with the Corn(w)ells. The record also gives his nearest relative as
"Julia Ketcham Cornwell," whom you correctly identify as his wife. His
occupation shown is bank manager, but I can't make out his employer. Someone
from this area might recognize it if the company still exists. Life was not
good to Joseph sometime after 1920 as the 1930 NY Census shows him (age 51,
inmate) in the Long Island Home. His wife and two young sons are living with
her father Herbert Ketcham in Brooklyn, and she is listed as Ketcham and a
fiction writer."
