At his request, no service will be held for Lloyd David Butler, who died Dec. 24, 1998, at age 74. Mr. Butler was born May 19, 1924, in Portland. He attended Tigard and Commerce (Cleveland) high schools. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a special inspection agent, most recently for Maryland Casualty Co., until retiring in 1986.
Survivors include his sons, David J. of Sherwood; daughter, Beverly A. Sokol of Lake Oswego; stepdaughters, Marina McCollam, Terry Padgett and Dana Hohnstein, all of Portland, and Candida Green of Los Angeles; brother, James of Pioneer, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Disposition is by cremation. Arrangements are by Hustad Funeral Home.
