Grandmother of the
Largest Cayuga Co.
Family, Dies at 78
Mrs. Mary Agnes Donovan Weaver,
mother of Mrs. Archibald Parker of
Hart Lot, and the grandmother of
the largest family to Cayuga County,
died Friday morning (February 13,
1943) at her home at Centerport,
Town of Mentz She was 78 years
old and the wife of Henry C.
Weaver. Mrs. Weaver was born in
Sherwood but for the past year and
a half has made her home at Centerport.
She formerly lived at Auburn.
Besides her husband and daughter,
Mrs. Parker, she is survived by
14 other children. 11 of whom are
living. 77 grandchildren and 43 greatgrandchildren;
five sons: H. Ray,
Mapleton; Charles H. and Floyd G.
of Union Springs, Roy and Chester
E.. Auburn; five daughters besides
Mrs. Parker: Mrs. William Walter,
Union Springs; Mrs. Blanche Beardsley.
Auburn; Mrs. George Baker.
Conquest; Mrs. Alfred Green, North
Rose; Mrs. Willis Hammond.
Throop; two brothers: Joseph Donovan
of Oriskany Falls, and Patrick
Donovan of Sherwood; three sisters:
Mrs. James Nolan, Knoxboro, Miss
Anna Donovan, Utica, Mrs. Julia
Mosher. Poplar Ridge; Mrs. Archibald
Parker has six sons serving the
USA—three overseas and three in
this country and Mrs. William Walter
has one son overseas, making
seven grandsons of Mrs. Weaver.
serving their country.
Funeral services were held at 2:30
Sunday afternoon at the
Funeral Chapel of Lester E. Brew.
Auburn. The Rev. George N. Gates
of Sennet Federated Church offlciated.
