FRANCIS J. BROWN – Francis J. Brown, 71, life-long resident of Jackson township, died at Woods Nursing home, Pine township, Wednesday noon after a two-year illness.

Born in Jackson township Dec. 6, 1886, he was the son of Jerome and Dorothea (Weisemann) Brown. He married Mary Hoffman, who died 10 years ago.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Glen Dean of Valparaiso, Mrs. Claus Helmick of Valparaiso, and Mrs. Leo Bozarth of Tampa, Fla.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Catholic church, Chesterton. The Rev. Ralph Hoffman will officiate, and Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Carl Edmonds Funeral home, where friends may call from Friday noon until services.
