Myrtle was the daughter of Samuel Maloch and Dellar Donna Bamburg Maloch. She had five known sisters and one brother, Nunar, Florence, Nancy, Leah, Samuel Judah, and Opal. Myrtle was the second youngest. Sister Leah died at the age of 18. Her first husband was Stanley Lucian Johnston, second son of Robert Johnston and his wife, Orpha Amelia Doolittle. Stanley had nine known siblings. Myrtle and Stanley had seven daughters, Cindy, Sheila, Rita, Elaine, Jennie, Linda and Janice.
After Stanley's death in Dec 1986, Myrtle married Gail Elbert Wisner in April 1987 in Lucas County, Ohio. Myrtle was 64 at the time and Gail was 51. Gail was the adopted son of Elbert Wisner and his wife Vera Hart Wisner. His birth parents were Lynn Hatt and Beatrice Schleicher Hatt. Gail had no siblings through his adopted parents, but he had five from his birth family who were also adopted, all by different families. Gail was the youngest of these children, born April 5, 1936.
