Leanna Duncan, 63, of Downing, MO, passed away at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO, on March 14, 2006.
The daughter of Glen Orlando and Marie (Rifenberry) Davison, she was born on July 3, 1942, in Moulton, IA.
On November 1, 1958, in Ottumwa, IA, she was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Duncan and to this union three sons were born, Randy, Steve and Mike.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Duncan of Downing; three sons, Randy Duncan of Downing, Steve Duncan of Downing, MO, and Mike Duncan of Wentzville, MO; Four grandchildren, Heather, Nichole, Michael, and Eric Duncan; three sisters, Carol Davis and husband, Elmer of Cedar Rapids, IA, Shirley Leyda of Ottumwa, IA and Patty Morgan and husband, Roy Livonia, MO; four brothers, Donnie Davison of Fairfield, IA, Gary Davison of Albia, IA, David Davison and wife, Flo Ann of Hiawatha, IA, and Jimmy Davison and wife, Pam of Bloomfield, IA; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Leanna was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy.
Leanna became a member of the Downing Christian Church in 1999 and was also a member of the ladies auxiliary. She was a homemaker and loved and treasured her time she spent with the family very dearly.
Funeral services were held on March 17, 2006, at the Downing Christian Church with Larry Smith, pastor of that church officiating. Music was provided by Betty Anderson, organist and Beth Gravett, soloist. Pallbearers were Steve Duncan, Eric Duncan, Michael Duncan, Bob Fugate, Bobby Newland, Royce Jeffries, Eddie Norman, and Larry McDowell. Memorials have been established for the Downing Fire Department and First Responders. Burial was in the Downing Cemetery in Downing, MO. Arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Downing and Lancaster, MO.
