Gladys G. Betts
Gladys G. (Rankin) Betts, 93, of 6 Crane Ave., Stockett, died Saturday in a local nursing home of natural causes. Her funeral is at 3:30 Tuesday at Croxford & Sons Funeral Home Rose Room, with burial in Highland Cemetery.
She was born May 1, 1903, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and moved to Glasgow in 1914. She later moved to Stockett where she received her education.
In 1925, she married R. J. Betts in Great Falls.
Betts was a homemaker and had worked as a clerk for Betts school in the Stockett area, and at Snyder Drug when it was in Stockett. She lived on the family farm in the Stockett area and enjoyed canning and making bread. Betts had lived with her son the last 26 years.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Betts of Stockett; a daughter, Merle Hufsey of Great Falls; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1945 and by two children.
