Funeral Services will be held at 3 Saturday afternoon at the Croxford mortuary for William Rutherford Besaw, 56, county road supervisor for the last 2 years, who died Thursday following and operation. The Rev. P. W. Dierberger will officiate, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Lease, Dick Hendrickson, Frank Schnable, Dave Anderson, George Bross and Fred Tokerud.

Born in Winona County Minnesota, Feb. 18, 1882, Besaw came to Montana 40 years ago. Before coming to Great Falls in 1920 he was engaged in cattle raising in Musselshell and Roosevelt counties. Since coming to this city he had been employed by the Cascade county road and bridge department and by Birch & Sons and the Tomlinson-Arkwright Construction Co. road contractors.

Since 1936 he had been assistant road supervisor with the staff of R.M. Hendrickson, county surveyor. Besaw was married Nov. 19, 1927 to Mrs. Madge McGivern, who survives him. Other survivors in addition to the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Algy Rose of Pine View; a stepson, Robert E, McGivern of this city, and nine grandchildren.
