William "Billy" W. Bartlett, 80, of Westlake died Friday, November 20, 2009 in a local healthcare facility. Mr. Bartlett was a lifelong resident of Westlake. He served six years for the Army National Guard. He retired from the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury after having worked nearly twenty years as a truck driver. He was a member of Westlake Assembly of God. Mr. Bartlett enjoyed reading, traveling and listening to the Gospel. His greatest joy was the time he shared with his nieces and nephews. He was a mentor to his nephews whom he loved to take fishing and crabbing. He leaves to honor his memory, one brother, James Vonley Bartlett of Westlake; one sister, Dolores Little and husband Paul of Elm Grove, LA; numerous nieces and nephews and his dear friends, Bella Ann Norris and Bertha Burgess, both of Westlake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chapin and Marie Bartlett and three sisters, Winifred Wayfer, Virginia Morgan and Flora Mae Peshoff. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 22, 2009 in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
