1938 - Amandus A. DeLong, 60, Bowers, Berks county, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at his home. He was born at Rockland (Twp.), Berks county, a son of the late James and Hannah, nee Angstadt, DeLong, and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church, Bowers, and a past master of Pioneer Grange No. 1777, Topton. Surviving are his widow, the former Agnes Hilbert; one daughter, Beulah, wife of Fred Silsdorf, at home; five grandchildren and one brother, Moses, at Oley. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the late home with continued services in the Trinity Lutheran church. Interment will follow in the Union cemetery, Bowers.
