She was born March 23, 1941, in Abingdon, the daughter of Leslie Lee and Maudie Pansy (Postin) Johnson.
Surviving are one son, Larry Eugene (Sherry Joan) Ashby, Abingdon; two grandchildren, Jeremy E. Ashby and Meranda Ashby; four great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Frank Johnson, Abingdon, Carl Sr. (Nettie) Johnson, Abingdon, Emil Johnson Sr., rural St. Augustine, Lloyd (Betty) Johnson, Gladstone, Wayne (Lynn) Johnson, Burns, Ore., Jim Johnson, Avon, and Ronald (Theresa) Johnson, Avon; two sisters, Maudie (Luther) Riley, Abingdon, and Florence (Tom) White, Milan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was reared and educated in Abingdon.
She was a homemaker and was a factory worker.
She was a member of Abingdon Apostolic Harvest House.
Services were held Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, in Abingdon Apostolic Harvest House, with the Rev. Danny E. Hunt officiating.
Inurnment will be later in Abingdon Cemetery.
